John P. Kee’s “The Legacy Project” is a keeper

Here at Christian Music, we get a lot of music CDs each month, and it’s rare we find a “keeper,” one that’s “so good, we don’t want to give it away!” Well, black Gospel star John P. Kee’s “The Legacy Project” is a keeper. The whole CD, best classified as “traditional Gospel,” is appealing, from start to finish, and it’s an all-star cast of soulful vocalists, including Rance Allen, Fred Hammond and Anthony Hamilton. The song “Blessings” is getting played on the radio, so listen for that, but also consider buying the whole CD, from Verity Records. It wouldn’t surprise us if this one wins a GRAMMY! John P. Kee has been singing for the Lord for more than three decades, and he’s still got “it!”

  1. This is Leo Taylor,Jr from WAGG in Bham and I am working the whole project. I am really working the “I’ll serve him” as well as the song with Doug Williams. What I want to let John P. Kee know is that there is a project that was discontinued that I am working by a group called NEW DEVINE DESTINY. Though the project never got much air-play, I think I have brought it back to life in the birmingham metro area. As far as the legacy project, I’m playing even the Anthony Hamilton peice as well. job well done.
