58 Dove Awards? Does he really need that many? Is he the best Christian music has to offer the world? Better than Michael W. Smith and Amy Grant?

What is it about SCC that people who like Christian music like? Please, post comments! Lets get to the bottom of this: why does Steven Curtis Chapman just keep garnering Dove Awards year-after-year-after-year?

  1. Steven writes songs that melt your heart. He’s real. There was a time I was like, “Again?!?” but how can you deny him with timeless songs like “My Turn Now”, “The Great Adventure”, “I Will Be Here”, “Heaven In the Real World” and “Cinderella”? He’s truly gifted and very humble. I met him on his first tour to Southern California when I was in college. He was the sweetest guy. He deserves it.

  2. He is a graduate of the school that started the whole Dove Award thing… isn’t he?
