In a packed house with standing room only Ami Rushes delighted Chicago fans with songs from her latest endeavor, “Stand Up For Jesus” (SUFJ) and from the time Sonya Blakely and Dr. Bobby Jones hit the stage to introduce Rushes, the crowd anticipated and received and evening of awesome.
According to gospel industry consultant and advisor, Pam Morris, “Tonight Stand Up For Jesus with Ami Rushes was fabulous and amazing and wonderful just like Ami.”
Radio announcer Frank Walton stated, “Tonight was absolutely fantastic Ami has a gifting of great gospel music that touches and penetrates the souls of mankind.”
When interviewed on stage, Kurt Carr, who wrote ‘You’re Gonna Make It Through’ stated, “It’s my job to make Ami be the best that she can be. She works so hard and I don’t know anyone who is as serious and dedicated to her craft and ministry as Ami. She really loves this music.”
Stand Up For Jesus is a project compiled of original songs from guest songwriters, produced by Kurt Carr, and is the birth of the spot-on signature sound of Ami Rushes that is pleasantly surprising listeners, and fans alike.
Ami emphatically states, “We as believers must Stand Up For Jesus and know that God is a healer and that nothing is impossible for the Lord.”
